Hyundai Capital faces UC Irvine in trial after ‘5 years with top US teams’

Hyundai Capital, the men’s professional volleyball team, will hold an exhibition match against a prestigious American college team.

Hyundai Capital announced on the 20th that it will hold a friendly match against UC Irvine of the Big West conference of American college volleyball at the ‘Castle of Skywalkers’ in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, the complex base camp of the Hyundai Capital Volleyball Team on the 22nd and 23rd. This is the first time in five years that the team has played an exhibition match since 2018.

UC Irvine is ranked eighth out of 57 U.S. collegiate volleyball teams by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as of April 23, 2018. In 2018, the team traveled to South Korea for an off-season training tour of Asia and held joint training and friendly matches with Hyundai Capital.

For Hyundai Capital, it’s a good opportunity to check their strength and tactics ahead of the upcoming season. “We organized this joint training as an opportunity for the players to try out various tactics they have been training for the 2023-24 season, as well as to exchange volleyball culture between the two teams,” said a club official.스포츠토토

UC Irvine will train with Hyundai Capital for five days from Sept. 20 to 24. The team will then compete in the 2023 Mungyeong, Bunpatti Bunbae International Collegiate Volleyball Tournament in Mungyeong, North Gyeongsang Province, starting on the 26th. The tournament is a tournament-style competition between university volleyball teams from eight countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, and Japan.
