Mickey van der Vaart chose to join Tottenham Hotspur despite Virgil van Dijk’s persuasions.
Tottenham have been in great form this season. Before the start of the season, a top-four finish in the league was a realistic goal, but now they have their sights set on the title. He has a fantastic partnership with Son Heung-min to lead the Spurs attack and is considered one of the best playmakers in the league right now. Forming a solid center-back duo with Cristian Romero has helped Tottenham stabilize a defense that has long been a problem.
Van der Vaart is currently rated as the best center back in the PL.
